Aurora is a city located in Colorado near Denver. It is an area that many people consider visiting, not only because of its close proximity to Denver and many of the other enjoyable attractions around the area, but also because it has a few things to offer of its own. Rocky Mountain Arsenal National Wildlife Refuge

If you are looking for what Aurora has to offer when it comes to nature, you will have a difficult time topping what this particular national wildlife refuge brings to the table. As you look out over the prairie grasslands at the herd of buffalo and the open lakes, you will know what attracts many people to Colorado.

Cherry Creek State Park

This is another natural area located near Aurora and it is comprised of a reservoir with plenty of things to do around it. Regardless of whether you are into water sports, camping or almost any other type of outdoor activity, you will find something to keep you busy while visiting the park.

Wings over the Rockies Air and Space Museum

If the weather is bad or if you just don’t feel like being outdoors, you can go indoors and enjoy what this air and space Museum has to offer. You will find a number of wartime aircraft inside as well as a collection of aviation art and World War II uniforms. It is located where Lowry Air Force Base was at one time.
